Baseball Set to Defend National Championship
With 19 players returning from its 2025 National Championship team along with 20 newcomers to its 2026 roster, the LSU Baseball team earned No. 1 preseason rankings by Perfect Game. The Tigers will try to make history in 2026, as only once in program history has LSU Baseball repeated as national champions (1996-1997). Jay Johnson also attempts to win his third title in four seasons when the Tigers begin a 56-game schedule on Friday, February 13, in Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field.

Opening Weekend Fan Fest at āThe Boxā
The 2026 LSU Baseball Fan Fest presented by Visit Baton Rouge will be held Friday, Feb 13, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. CT outside Alex Box Stadium, Skip Bertman Field. Featuring more than 20 on-site activations from partners of LSU Athletics, fans will have an opportunity to take a photo with the 2025 CWS National Championship trophy and meet former letterwinners leading up to first pitch of the season.
Softball Ranked Among Nationās Best
The 12th-ranked LSU Softball team opens its 53-game regular season slate by playing host to the annual Tiger Classic Feb. 5-8 at Tiger Park. Beth Torinaās squad features three players tabbed among the Top 50 in the country (catcher Maci Bergeron, utility player Tori Edwards and utility pitcher Jayden Heavener) and four freshmen listed among the nationās Top 100. Join us at Tiger Park or watch all of the LSU Softball games which will be available either over the air or on the SEC Networkās digital platform this spring. The first radio broadcast of LSU Softball will be March 6 at Tennessee.
Maravich Center Packed with Winter Sports
With the recent spell in Baton Rouge, whatās better than watching your Tigers play indoors? LSU Gymnastics is ranked No. 3 in the nation after its month of the 2026 season. There are five more opportunities to see the Tigers in the Maravich Center, including the 2026 NCAA Regional competitions set for April 3-5.
Meanwhile, LSU Menās Basketball (9-3) and Womenās Basketball (11-1) teams are 20-4 inside the PMAC this season. Kim Mulkeyās team overcame a difficult start to SEC play and has moved back into the nationās Top 10, while Matt McMahonās Tigers remain in the Top 50 of the NCAAās important NET rankings.
Lane Kiffin Hits the Ground Running
For those living under a rock or traveling internationally for the past two months, youāve missed quite a start to LSU Football Head Coach Lane Kiffinās tenure in Baton Rouge. Coach Kiffin has added 16 freshmen signees and 43 (FORTY-THREE!) transfers during the winter window as he works to both retain talent and rebuild a championship roster. The Tigersā 2026 home schedule may be the most exciting in decades, as Clemson, Texas A&M, Alabama and Texas each visit Death Valley this season.
āDeath Valley Liveā Concerts Coming to Tiger Stadium
Multi-platinum artist and Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Zach Bryan will kick off LSU Athleticsā āDeath Valley Live Stadium Seriesā on March 28, 2026, inside legendary Tiger Stadium. As a partner of LSU Athletics, if you have interest in purchasing club tickets for Zach Bryan ā please reach out to your account representative as we have a limited number available to provide at face value.
Then on Memorial Day weekend 2026, nine-time diamond-certified global superstar, Post Malone, and three-time GRAMMY award-winning entertainer, Jelly Roll, are set to perform inside Tiger Stadium.
LSU Athletics, in partnership with the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, the Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership and Visit Baton Rouge, announced Death Valley Live, a new initiative set to bring world-class entertainment and special events to one of the most iconic venues in America, Tiger Stadium. Jada Ballard returned to LSU Sports Properties in December 2025 as the Coordinator of Service & Operations. Prior to stepping into her full-time role, she served as a Client Services Associate with LSUSP while completing her masterās degree, which she earned in December 2024. Originally from Houston, Texas, Jada has deep Louisiana roots in Melville, Louisiana. These connections and her love for crawfish and catfish are what drew her to LSU for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She is excited to continue contributing to the growth of the property and to serve as a trusted resource for partners in any way she can.
Laney Workman joined our team in January 2026 as a Service and Operations Coordinator. Originally from Beatrice, Nebraska, she is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Laney comes to us from Husker Athletic Partners, where she gained hands-on experience coordinating gameday hospitality spaces and executing partnership activations. She is thrilled to be in Baton Rouge and looks forward to connecting with our partners while experiencing everything that makes LSU Athletics and Death Valley so special.
Evan Sinclair is a senior account executive from Natchitoches, La. He graduated from ULM and worked in its admissions department and athletics department until 2021.
